Celebration Challenge - Day 14 - Love Love Super Love!

I thought tonight it would be fun to post some of the images I fell in LOVE with over the past year.

Sometimes I fall in love with an image because I feel that it has captured a real or spontaneous emotion.  Sometimes I fall in love with it because of the memory attached to that exact moment.  And sometimes I love it because it represents work that has challenged me in a new way.   Is it the same with you? 

Don'tcha just love looking at pictures?!  I could do it all day ... no, seriously ... ALL. DAY. 

But here are a few of my Love Love Super Love images ... feel free to spend ALL DAY looking at them  ... or better yet, tell your friends about this and then they could look at them all day too!!

PS.  This little post turned out to be WAY harder than I thought!  I could have spent another couple hours going through them all!  These barely scratched the surface!  But it was really fun looking back!  I definitely have awesome clients - thanks guys!! 

Now ... taxes.  Ugh!

Celebration Challenge - Day 5 - Holt Family Part 2!!

Holy Cow!  I mean, Holy Cow!!  My heart is pounding and I have major butterflies in my stomach!!  I am SO excited about all the traffic I've had on my blog today!!  I guess that is what happens when you photograph a famous gal like Kari and her gorgeous family!  WooHoo!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all the encouraging comments guys ... it's been a blast watching my mailbox fill up everyday and reading what you've had to say.  I'm truly loving what this blog challenge is doing for me so far.  It's not only about sharing my work again ... it's also about celebrating my life and all the little details in it.  I honestly wish I could have a photographer follow me around all the time to capture every moment as I live it.  Well, maybe not EVERY moment {smile}.  But, you know what I mean. 

Picking up my camera everyday again and writing about my experiences has reminded me of how beautiful my life really is.  Last night I actually danced with my kiddos while I made dinner ... I haven't done that in forever. But, as we shook our hips and moved our feet we laughed harder than we had in a long time! And in that laughter, we nurtured our connections with one another.  With all my heart I felt content with the noise, the color, the craziness, the fun, and yes ... even the mess.  It's my life and I love it.

I hope that in some small way, my photography catches pieces of your life too.  I want you to connect with the beauty of your family, of love and laughter, of relationships, of unique personalities, and of the special moments that bring you together.

Celebration Challenge - Day 4 - Holt Family!!

 I know ... I know!  It's 12:17pm and I'm just now posting!  But it's Friday and I decided to spend a little extra time with The Fam tonight and it put me a bit behind.  But, it's sooo okay, cause I'm in love with tonight's post!!

I am still sooo excited that I got the opportunity to shoot this family!  Our 9-year olds are great friends and they are so.much.fun!  When we're together, we laugh, we play, and we talk super fast!  Mom is incredibly creative ... and a digital scrapbook designer.  Check her out here!! 

Our session was just like a playdate and we had a total blast together ... at the end of it all, we were exhausted but still smiling.  There are so many amazing images from this session, I'm still sorting through them all and choosing my favs.  But, I absolutely fell in love with the light at the end of our session.  It was warm, soft, and made everything beautiful.  Even an ordinary parking lot.  And when I saw the images, I knew it had to be my post tonight.

PS.  I just re-read this post and .... wow ... my thoughts seem kinda random.  I guess I'm pretty tired.  Haha!!  Forgive me for not re-typing it all?

Loved it!

I loved this session.  Really loved it.

I loved the way Keith looked at his wife.

I loved the way Kammy looked right back at him (with her awesomely gorgeous eyelashes).

I loved that they laughed at my one silly joke (I had just learned a good one from my 7 yr old).

I loved that Haley stuck her tongue out a little when she smiled.

And, I loved that she got a phone call while we were shooting by the pay phone.

I loved Megan's quiet but amazing personality - she's the middle child so I totally connected with her.

I loved that Kayla did silly things throughout the session and made everyone laugh.

I loved that this family didn't mind practically running to our last spot as we chased the setting sun.

I loved that they let their guard down to play in back alleys and on street corners with me.

I love that we ended with ice cream.

I love family and I love what I do!  Thanks Brown Family!
